Pinterest pins or boards missing? Here's why

Most missing pins and boards are still there: in another account, an archived board or a different tab. Here's where to look, what Pinterest can restore, and what it can't.

Check these first

  • A second account. Signing in with Google or Apple can quietly create a new, empty account. Check which account you're signed in to.
  • An archived board. Archived boards sit at the end of your boards list. You can also search for a board's name in your Boards tab.
  • The wrong tab. On a business account, your profile can open on Created. Switch to Saved to see your boards.
  • A group board. If you left it, or its owner removed you, it disappears from your profile. Ask the owner to invite you back.

What can't come back

  • A pin you deleted. Pinterest can't recover deleted pins.
  • A board you deleted, after seven days. Pinterest can recover a deleted board for seven days, then it's gone. Contact Pinterest straight away if it's within the window.
  • Pins Pinterest removed. Pinterest takes down pins and boards that break its rules, and emails you to say why. Check your inbox.

Keep a copy of every pin

Connect Pinterest to Findy once, and Findy brings in your pins, each with its title, description, link and a copy of the image. New pins keep arriving on their own. Because Findy keeps its own copy, a pin you delete by mistake, or one Pinterest removes, still has its card in Findy.

And you can find any of them by describing what's in the picture, not by remembering which board you put it on.
