A Dewey alternative that finds your saved posts by what's in them
Dewey and Findy both get your saved posts out of the apps holding them. The difference is what happens next: Dewey files them, and Findy reads every post and picture, so you can find any of them by what you remember.
The short version
- Choose Findy if you want to find a save by describing it, even when it's only a picture.
- Choose Dewey if you want to file your saves into folders and export them elsewhere.
Side by side
| Findy | Dewey | |
|---|---|---|
| Search | By meaning, across captions, page text and what's in every image, including the words inside it | By keyword, across bookmarks, captions, tags, authors and notes |
| Organising | Spaces: collections that fill themselves from a tag, a platform or a search | Folders, tags and notes you manage, with AI to tag in bulk |
| Where saves come from | Instagram, TikTok, Reddit and browser bookmarks; Pinterest, YouTube, Tumblr and X sync on their own | X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Threads, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit and browser bookmarks |
| Deleted posts | Keeps the text and a copy of the image | Keeps a backup of saved content |
| Getting them out | A private library | Export to CSV, PDF, Google Sheets or Notion; public collections |
Where Findy is different
It finds a save by what's in it
Most saved posts are pictures and reels with captions that say nothing useful: "obsessed 😍", "need this". Findy reads every image you save, both what it shows and any words in it, so "green kitchen tiles" finds the kitchen, and "that pasta reel" finds the reel. You describe it; Findy finds it.
It organises itself
You don't file anything. A Space is a rule, not a folder: give it a tag, a platform or a search, and every matching save lands there, including the ones you make tomorrow.
It brings in Pinterest, YouTube and Tumblr too
Connect them once and new saves keep arriving on their own, alongside everything you bring in from Instagram, TikTok and Reddit.
Choose Dewey instead if…
- Your saves live on LinkedIn, Bluesky or Threads.
- You want your saves exported to Notion or a spreadsheet.
- You share public collections of your saves.
Bring your saves with you
Everything you've saved is still out there, scattered across apps that won't let you search it. Findy brings it all into one library, and finds any of it the way you remember it.
